Tech List 2026 Recognition

May 1, 2026 -- Both CIETAC and SHIAC reappointed Mr. O’Neill to their respective panels of arbitrators for another five-year term through April 30, 2031.

The Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center again named Mr. O'Neill to the 2026 "Tech List"of the World's Leading Technology Arbitrators. He has been so recognized every year since 2017.  

In 2026, Mr. O’Neill was recognized once again by his peers in Best Lawyers in International Arbitration - Commercial.

In 2026, Mr. O’Neill was again elected as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Boston International Arbitration Council.

Mr. O'Neill received recognition as Arbitration Lawyer of the Year in Massachusetts -- 2025" by Global Law Experts.

Mr. O'Neill was again awarded for 2025 the AV - Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell. 

In June 2022 the European Commission completed a renewal process for designating the pool of arbitrators for dispute settlement panels under trade agreements to which the EU is a party. A selection panel of experienced international judges and academics examined the candidates to confirm their suitability for appointment. Mr. O'Neill was found to be suitable for appointment and is now publicly listed on the EU panel for the position of Chairperson for Arbitrations.  He is one of a handful of Americans named among approximately sixty individuals globally to the list of arbitrators eiigible to chair arbitral panels for disputes under the EU/UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement.

In February 2022 Mr. O'Neill's article "Transformative Technology & Arbitration's Emerging Future" was published in Volume 32 No. 3 of the American Review of International Arbitration at pages 337-59.
